Rhodes, the largest island in the Dodecanese and the fourth largest in Greece, offers a unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. The northern part of the island is home to the Medieval City of Rhodes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture. At its heart stands the Palace of the Grand Master, or “Castello,” one of the island’s most iconic landmarks, now functioning as a museum that attracts thousands of visitors annually.

Rhodes is celebrated for its stunning beaches, many of which have received international awards, such as the famous Lindos Beach. In addition to its world-class coastal offerings, the island boasts other must-see attractions, including the Port of Rhodes, the Medieval Moat, St. Paul’s Bay, and the Acropolis of Lindos, each offering rich historical and cultural experiences.

The island’s charm extends beyond its scenic beauty. Renowned local products such as thyme honey, figs, and wine are cherished by both locals and visitors, adding to the island’s allure.

Rhodes, with its strategic position at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa, is a premier cruise destination. The island’s modern ports, including the Port of Rhodes, Mandraki Marina, and the Port of Kamiros Skala, welcome thousands of international visitors each year, offering unparalleled access to the island’s treasures and the broader Dodecanese region.

With its mix of cultural heritage, modern amenities, and natural wonders, Rhodes is the ideal gateway for cruise tourism and an essential destination in the South Dodecanese.

                Kamiros Skala Port

Kamiros Skala is a small port located on the western coast of Rhodes. While modest in size, it serves an important role in connecting Rhodes with nearby islands, particularly Halki, through regular ferry routes.

Mainly used for local and inter-island travel, Kamiros Skala is a convenient departure point for short trips, especially during the summer when traffic increases due to tourism. Its location near the ancient city of Kamiros also makes it a point of interest for visitors exploring the area.

The port offers basic amenities, including a small waiting area, parking, and a few nearby cafés and shops. Though it does not accommodate large cruise ships or major international traffic, Kamiros Skala provides a simple and accessible option for island hopping within the Dodecanese.
